The journey typically starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a trek to Namche Bazaar, the bustling heart of the Khumbu region. From Namche, trekkers continue on to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, before heading towards Dingboche, where they will spend a few days acclimatizing to the altitude.

The first high pass, Kongma La, awaits beyond Dingboche, offering unparalleled views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding peaks. Trekkers then descend into the remote village of Lobuche before continuing on to Gorak Shep, the final settlement before Everest Base Camp. A side trip to Kala Patthar provides a stunning sunrise view of Everest and the Khumbu Icefall.

After exploring Everest Base Camp, trekkers begin the challenging ascent to Cho La Pass, navigating icy terrain and rocky trails before descending into the beautiful Gokyo Valley. Gokyo Village sits beside a series of turquoise lakes, offering a tranquil setting for rest and reflection.

The journey continues over Renjo La Pass, where trekkers are treated to sweeping views of the Gokyo Lakes and the Rolwaling Valley. Descending into the Bhote Koshi River Valley, trekkers make their way back to Namche Bazaar, where they can celebrate their accomplishment with a well-deserved meal and a hot shower.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Rest and prepare for your trek.

Day 2 : Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860 meters) to Phakding (2,610 meters)

Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, a thrilling mountain flight. Trek from Lukla to Phakding, a small village along the Dudh Koshi River.

Day 3 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 meters)

Trek through beautiful forests and cross several suspension bridges before reaching Namche Bazaar, the main hub of the Everest region.

Day 4 : Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar

Take a day to acclimatize to the altitude. You can explore the local market, visit the Sherpa Museum, or hike to Everest View Hotel for panoramic views.

Day 5 : Namche Bazaar to Thame (3,800 meters)

Trek to Thame, a traditional Sherpa village with a monastery. Enjoy the views of Thamserku, Kangtega, and Kongde Ri.

Day 6 : Thame to Lungden (4,380 meters)

Trek along the Bhote Koshi River and through rugged terrain to reach the village of Lungden.

Day 7 : Lungden to Gokyo (4,750 meters) via Renjo La Pass (5,360 meters)

Cross Renjo La Pass, which offers breathtaking views of Everest, Cho Oyu, and other peaks. Descend to the beautiful turquoise lakes of Gokyo.

Day 8 : Acclimatization day in Gokyo

Explore Gokyo Ri for stunning sunrise views over Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. You can also hike to the Fifth Lake or relax by the lakeside.

Day 9 : Gokyo to Thaknak (4,750 meters) via Ngozumpa Tsho (4,950 meters)

Trek alongside the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier in the Himalayas, before reaching Thaknak.

Day 10 : Thaknak to Dzongla (4,830 meters) via Cho La Pass (5,420 meters)

Cross Cho La Pass, a challenging ascent with panoramic views. Descend to Dzongla, surrounded by stunning peaks.

Day 11 : Dzongla to Lobuche (4,910 meters)

Trek through the Khumbu Valley with views of Ama Dablam and Cholatse before reaching Lobuche.

Day 12 : Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164 meters) to Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters)

Trek to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. Continue to Everest Base Camp and soak in the incredible scenery.

Day 13 : Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545 meters) to Lobuche

Hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest, then descend to Lobuche.

Day 14 : Lobuche to Chukhung (4,730 meters) via Kongma La Pass (5,535 meters)

Cross Kongma La Pass, the final high pass of the trek. Descend to the village of Chukhung.

Day 15 : Chukhung to Tengboche (3,860 meters)

Trek back through Dingboche and Pangboche to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery.

Day 16 : Tengboche to Namche Bazaar

Descend through rhododendron forests and cross suspension bridges to reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 17 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Trek back to Lukla, enjoying the final views of the Himalayas.

Day 18 : Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

Take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoy your last day in Nepal exploring the city or shopping for souvenirs.

Day 19 : Departure from Kathmandu
