Highlights

Overview

The Mardi Himal Trek offers a delightful journey through the pristine landscapes of the Annapurna region in Nepal, catering to both novice and experienced trekkers alike. Nestled beneath the towering peaks of the Annapurna Massif, Mardi Himal Trekking presents a relatively less-traveled route, granting adventurers the opportunity to immerse themselves in unspoiled natural beauty and tranquil surroundings.

Commencing from the enchanting lakeside town of Pokhara, the trek embarks on a scenic drive to Kande or Phedi, serving as the starting point for the trek. The trail winds through lush rhododendron forests, quaint villages, and terraced farmlands, offering breathtaking panoramas of snow-capped peaks, including Machapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli.

As you ascend higher, the landscape transitions from subtropical forests to alpine meadows, eventually leading to the high-altitude base camp of Mardi Himal. Enroute, you may encounter friendly locals, predominantly Gurung and Magar ethnic communities, providing a glimpse into their unique culture and way of life.

The highlight of the Mardi Himal Trek is undoubtedly the mesmerizing viewpoint at High Camp or Mardi Himal Base Camp, offering unparalleled vistas of the Annapurna Sanctuary and surrounding peaks. You can witness the sunrise painting the mountains with hues of orange and pink, creating a surreal spectacle that remains etched in memory.

Unlike some of the more popular treks in the region, the Mardi Himal Treks offers a sense of seclusion and tranquility, allowing you to connect with nature on a deeper level. The relatively shorter duration of the trek, typically spanning 5 to 7 days, makes it an ideal choice for those with limited time yet seeking a rewarding mountain adventure.

With its serene ambiance, diverse landscapes, and awe-inspiring vistas, the Mardi Himal Trek stands as a hidden gem in the heart of the Annapurna region, promising an unforgettable journey amidst the grandeur of the Himalayas.
